You reach your hunting spot and another hunter is already set up there. What's the ethical move?

First come, first served. Find another area.

  1. Set up close by anyway
  2. Find another spot to hunt ✔
  3. Ask them to move since you scouted it

Why: Ethical hunters follow the first come, first served courtesy. Arguing in the field is a bad idea. Wish for better luck, arrive earlier next time, or hunt somewhere else.

Huh, didn't know that: Hunter education says the best time to decide to be an ethical hunter is before the hunt begins.

The dad joke
What time does a duck wake up? At the quack of dawn.
