What should happen with worn or frayed electric cords on a construction site?
Worn or frayed cords must not be used.
- Worn or frayed cords must not be used ✔
- Tape them and keep using them

Why: 1926.416(e)(1) says worn or frayed electric cords or cables shall not be used.
Huh, didn't know that: Damaged cords can expose energized wires and create shock hazards.
Why did the frayed cord get benched? It was not in good shape.
