SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/osha-hazcom-sds-16-sections
How many sections does a safety data sheet (SDS) have under OSHA's HazCom standard?
16 sections, in a set order.
- 16 ✔
- 9
- 12
Why: Every SDS uses the same 16 headings in the same order, so workers can find information fast. Section 1 is Identification and Section 16 is Other information, including the revision date.
Huh, didn't know that: Section 9 lists physical and chemical properties, and Section 10 covers stability and reactivity.
Why did the paper go to the safety meeting? It wanted to be on the same page.
