When must workers be able to get to the safety data sheets for chemicals in their work area?
During every work shift, while they are in their work area.
- Only during office hours
- Within 30 days of asking
- During each work shift ✔
Why: The employer must keep an SDS for every hazardous chemical in the workplace, readily accessible to workers in their work area during each shift. A locked office at night does not count.
Huh, didn't know that: Employers may keep SDSs electronically if workers can still reach them without barriers.
