What minimum strength must a personal fall arrest anchorage point support per attached employee?
5,000 pounds is the required anchorage capacity.
- 1,800 pounds
- 3,000 pounds
- 5,000 pounds ✔
Why: 1926.502(d)(15) requires fall arrest anchorages to hold at least 5,000 pounds per worker attached, unless a qualified person designs the system with a safety factor of at least two.
Huh, didn't know that: The anchorage should be independent of any platform suspension anchorage.
Why did the anchorage point feel secure? It was attached to its values.
