SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/reptile-basking-dry-area
Aquatic turtles need which two habitat areas?
Provide both swimming water and a dry basking area.
- Only deep water and no land
- Water to swim in plus a dry basking spot ✔
- A dry land pen with no pool
Why: Aquatic turtles must be able to swim and fully submerge, but they also need a dry area where they can climb out completely to bask and warm up.
Huh, didn't know that: UC Davis vets say aquatic turtle water should be heated to the right temperature with a submersible heater.
Why was the turtle so strong? It did shell-ups.
