Why: Powered parachutes need 12 hours of flight time for the sport pilot certificate. That includes 10 hours of instructor training, at least 2 hours of solo training, and 20 full-stop takeoffs and landings.
Huh, didn't know that: Powered parachutes also require one solo flight to a different airport covering at least 10 nautical miles in a straight line.
Why was the powered parachute so relaxed? It always had a canopy over its head.
