SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/sport-towered-endorsement
How many full-stop landings at a towered airport does a sport pilot need for the airspace endorsement?
Three, each after flying the traffic pattern.
- One
- Two
- Three ✔
Why: Section 61.325 requires training and an endorsement, including three takeoffs and landings to a full stop at an airport with an operating control tower, each landing after flying the traffic pattern.
Huh, didn't know that: The endorsement also covers radio use, navigation equipment and Part 91 rules for Class B, C and D.
Why did the sport pilot talk to the tower? He wanted to land a good conversation.
