Where does the down-kick of a freestyle flutter kick begin?
At the hip, then the knee, then the ankle, like a whip.
- At the hip ✔
- At the knee
- At the ankle
Why: USMS says the down-kick begins at your hip, your knee moves second and your ankle third. The motion speeds up down the leg, like a whip.
Huh, didn't know that: A good flutter kick also keeps your hips up, which cuts drag.
Why did the swimmer start the kick at the hip? It was the hip thing to do.
