SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/vb-rally-scoring
In volleyball today, when does a team score a point?
Every rally scores a point for the team that wins it.
- Only when serving
- Only on a spike that lands
- Every time it wins a rally ✔
Why: Volleyball uses rally scoring. Whichever team wins the rally gets the point, whether it served or not. The winner of the rally also serves next.
Huh, didn't know that: If the receiving team wins the rally, it also gets the serve and rotates one spot.
Why do volleyball fans love rally scoring? Every point is a rally cry.
