What gun angle does Miller suggest for a MIG fillet weld?
45 degrees.
- 45 degrees ✔
- 90 degrees
- 10 degrees
Why: A fillet weld sits in the corner of two pieces, so aim at the middle of that corner at 45 degrees. A butt joint uses 90 degrees to the work.
Huh, didn't know that: Miller suggests a travel angle of 15 degrees as a good starting point.
Why did the obtuse angle go to the beach? Because it was over 90 degrees.
