OSHA's guide lists which shade for stick welding with 5/16 and 3/8 inch electrodes?
Shade 14.
- Shade 10
- Shade 14 ✔
- Shade 3
Why: Big electrodes carry more current and make a brighter arc, so the lens gets darker. Shade 14 is the top of the stick-welding range.
Huh, didn't know that: OSHA lists shade 14 for carbon arc welding too.
Never trust trees, they're shady.
