A Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
- A rating
- A Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) ✔
- An AFSC
Why: Each branch has its own word for a job. The Army calls it an MOS, like 11B for Infantryman. The Navy calls its enlisted jobs ratings.
Huh, didn't know that: Army job codes mix numbers and a letter, like 42A for Human Resources Specialist.
Why did the soldier bring a dictionary to MEPS? He wanted to pick an MOS with a lot of meaning.
