SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/asvab-picat-vtest
After a good PiCAT score, what must you do before it counts?
Pass a short proctored Verification Test (Vtest) within 45 days.
- Take a short proctored Vtest within 45 days ✔
- Retake the full ASVAB at MEPS
- Nothing, it counts right away
Why: PiCAT is taken without a proctor, so eligible applicants confirm it with a Vtest at a MEPS or MET site. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes and gives no score of its own.
Huh, didn't know that: If the Vtest is successful, your PiCAT scores become your official ASVAB scores of record.
The Vtest is like a dad checking your homework. Short, but he's watching.
