Before the commercial knowledge test you need a logbook endorsement from whom?
An authorized instructor who gave the ground training or reviewed your home study.
- A designated pilot examiner
- An FAA aviation safety inspector
- An authorized instructor ✔
Why: The instructor must have taught the ground training or reviewed your home study on the knowledge areas in 61.125, then certify you are prepared for the test. A second endorsement is needed before the practical test.
Huh, didn't know that: Knowledge areas include NTSB accident reporting rules and aeronautical decision making.
Why did the student bring a pencil to the endorsement? Everything had to be signed off.
