SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/drone-accident-report-10-days
Within how many days must a remote pilot report a serious-injury accident to the FAA?
10 calendar days.
- 5 calendar days
- 10 calendar days ✔
- 30 calendar days
Why: Section 107.9 requires a report no later than 10 calendar days after an operation causing serious injury or any loss of consciousness. Certain property damage also requires a report.
Huh, didn't know that: Any loss of consciousness counts, even if the person seems fine afterward.
Why do drone pilots keep a calendar on the fridge? Ten days goes by faster than a battery charge.
