SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/hunt-middle-hunter-zone
In a line of three hunters, who has the narrowest zone of fire?
The hunter in the middle.
- The hunter on the left
- The hunter on the right
- The hunter in the middle ✔
Why: The middle hunter has partners on both sides, so the safe slice is squeezed from two directions. Hunters on the ends get a wider zone toward their open side. In a blind, rotating seats keeps it fair.
Huh, didn't know that: Zones of fire should be set before the hunt begins and adjusted as the group moves.
Why did the middle duck hunter feel squeezed? Everyone was in his space.
