SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/pb-score-call-singles
In singles pickleball, how many numbers are in the score call?
Two: server score then receiver score.
- One number
- Two numbers, server score then receiver score ✔
- Three numbers with server number
Why: Singles has no server number because only one player serves per side. The server states their own score first, then the receiver's score.
Huh, didn't know that: The score call order is the same in singles and doubles for the first two numbers.
Why do singles players love short score calls? Two numbers and no partner to argue with.
