SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/vb-outside-hitter-role
Where does the outside hitter usually attack from?
Left front, zone 4.
- Right front
- Middle front
- Left front ✔
Why: The outside hitter attacks from zone 4, the front-left spot. Setters usually set from the right side, so a right-handed outside hitter hits on-hand.
Huh, didn't know that: The middle hitter attacks from zone 3, the front-center spot.
Outside hitters are great tenants. They always hit the left.
